About the Bulls
Who are the Houston Bulls?
The Houston Bulls are a junior hockey team set to play out of the newly-constructed Deep South Ice & Sports Complex in the fall of 2026. The Bulls will compete within the South Division of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), the only USA Hockey-sanctioned Tier II junior hockey league. The Bulls arrive in Houston after previously playing five seasons in Mason City, IA, as members of the NAHL’s Central Division.
What is junior hockey?
Junior hockey leagues like the NAHL provide high-level, developmental teams for players ages 16-21 seeking to further their athletic careers. Junior hockey serves as an important stepping stone between youth hockey and collegiate or professional hockey.
How can I support the team?
There are multiple ways to support the Houston Bulls in their inaugural season.
Attending games: The Bulls are excited to compete at the Deep South Ice & Sports Complex – located at 3327 Harlem Road in Richmond, TX – a brand-new facility that can host 1,800 fans. The Bulls need your help filling this incredible space and cheering them on to victory!
Billeting players: Players come from all around the world to play junior hockey, and they need a place to stay while competing for the Bulls. Families living in the Richmond area will have the opportunity to billet players, providing stable housing them for throughout the length of the season. If you are interested in billeting for the 2026-2027 season, be sure to keep an eye out for an upcoming release of information regarding billet families.
Sponsorship: The Bulls are looking for local businesses interested in partnering with the team! If your business would like to support the Bulls this upcoming season, please reach out to devon@houstonbullsnahl.com to begin working on your custom partnership deal!
